BUCA - Bangkok Urban Cycling Alliance is a volunteer-driven group promoting everyday cycling as a viable transportation option for all. We build collaboration across diverse organizations, from cycling communities and public bike-sharing service providers to urban administrators, where we advocate for and advance cycling-friendly policies. We have been actively operating since 2024. The BUCA S/O/S project demonstrates how cycling can address the city's urgent challenges amid global turbulence. We believe that promoting cycling in Bangkok can simultaneously alleviate traffic congestion, environmental issues, and public health concerns. The project comprises: 1. Bike Bus: Mass Transit by Bicycle Experience the festival conveniently and safely with Bike Bus - a scheduled cycling system operating like a bus route. Experienced volunteers lead and sweep the group throughout the journey. Participants can rent bike-sharing bicycles and ride along to key exhibition points across the festival with ease. Maximum 10 people per group. Ideal for those seeking independent yet safe travel. 2. Bike Trip: Guided Festival Cycling Tour Discover the festival in depth with Bike Trip - a guided cycling tour where volunteers lead up to 10 participants to specially curated exhibition points. Hear stories, explore highlights, and uncover hidden gems you might otherwise miss. Participants can bring their own bicycles or rent bike-sharing bikes.
