KTK. Craft to Go

KTK. Craft to Go is an exploration of accessibility, mobility, and the living pulse of craft—an exhibition that reimagines how handcrafted furniture can cross borders without losing its soul. At the heart of this project lies the challenge many makers face: the prohibitive cost of exporting finished furniture, making truly artisanal design inaccessible to everyday users worldwide. Kitt.Ta.Khon, the Bangkok-based brand founded by Teerapojâ€ŊTeeropas, is rooted in a philosophy of global craftsmanship: combining weaving techniques from more than 30 years of artisan expertise with a belief that craft is a universal language. Their mission is two-fold: to preserve and transfer traditional craft skills across generations, and to celebrate the shared cultural resonances among craft traditions—from Africa to Morocco to Southeast Asia. As a small, mission-driven brand, Kitt.Ta.Khon acknowledges the realities of scale: mass production cannot be fully avoided if the goal is to amplify impact. But what if we could turn global supply chains into an ally? KTK. Craft to Go proposes a novel model: “Kitt.Ta.Khonify,” which exists IKEA-ready parts with our own design interventions, handwoven details, and artisanal finishes. This approach allows customers to take a piece of the brand anywhere—and assemble the rest locally in their own country. This exhibition also marks the debut of Kitt.Ta.Khon’s Knock‑Down Capsule Collection, designed for flat packing, shipping ease, and low environmental impact—while preserving the brand’s uncompromising craftsmanship. KTK. Craft to Go is more than a show: it’s a blueprint for a future where craft no longer struggles to cross borders, and where design rooted in heritage can be portable, accessible, and globally celebrated.
