Community Architecture by ArchSU

When Flowers Tell

This installation presents a small-scale exhibition and landmark that introduces visitors to the stories and symbolic meanings of flowers through resin-coated blooms, each preserved with its natural beauty intact. The work adds vibrancy to the walkway, creating a sense of transition between Pak Khlong and Song Wat, while also promoting the preservation and appreciation of floral beauty through artistic expression. Each resin piece includes the flower’s name and a short, evocative phrase that conveys its deeper meaning—almost as if the flower itself is whispering a message to passers-by. At the same time, the installation could support and enhance local flower vendors’ sales in the Pak Khlong Talad area. This project is an experimental design by second-year students in the Community Architecture course at the Faculty of Architecture, Silpakorn University. These projects explore new possibilities for developing the creative economy in the Pak Khlong Talat area.
