The diversity of contemporary music—where multiple genres can coexist within a single track—is what drew our attention. This led us to invite friends who are interested in the presence of jazz across different musical styles to come together and share their own interpretations of jazz through carefully curated tracks. This exchange expands the boundaries of imagination and reframes jazz not as “what jazz should be,” but as “what jazz can be.” A comparison shared by one of our friends—about how jazz differs from one city to another—gave rise to the phrase “Our Jazz Is Not the Same,” which was later printed on Siam Jazz’s T-shirts. “Our Jazz Is Not the Same” has since evolved into the core concept of this DJ session at BKKDW 2026.
