ICONSIAM ART & CULTURE ชิ้นงานศิลปะถาวร ณ ไอคอนสยาม

Experience a curated journey through masterpiece-level Thai artistry, where tradition meets world-class innovation in an immersive public art space. 1. Inscription of Suvarnabhumi: The Light of Wisdom Location: G Floor, ICONLUXE Zone Created by National Artist Professor Preecha Thaothong, these four 16-meter golden pillars serve as a majestic gateway. The intricate engravings narrate the cultural evolution of the Suvarnabhumi Kingdom from the Ban Chiang era to the present day. 2. The River: Flowing Inspirations Location: G Floor, ICONLUXE Zone A breathtaking 3D flow sculpture by Haberdashery Studio (UK). This piece reimagines traditional Kanok patterns into fluid, tricolor metallic forms (gold, silver, and rose gold), capturing the shimmering vitality of sunlight reflecting on water. 3. Joy: The Garland Chandelier Location: G Floor, ICONLUXE Zone A bespoke glass masterpiece by Petra Junová of LASVIT. This world-exclusive chandelier translates the "Siam Smile" into a luminous floral garland (Malai), symbolizing the warm hospitality and generous spirit that defines Thai culture. 4. Cultural Vessels: The Art of the Jar Location: G Floor, SOOKSIAM Zone In collaboration with Wasinburi Supanichvoraparch of the historic "Tao Hong Tai" factory, these hand-sculpted jars and contemporary murals by Hooker’s Green transform utility into art, celebrating the distinct cultural narratives of Thailand’s diverse regions. 5. Thong Yod: The Golden Drop Location: M Floor, Central Corridor Originally exhibited at the Venice Biennale, Arin Rungjang’s brass sculpture explores the intersection of social history and cultural exchange. Its production at a traditional Buddha foundry anchors the contemporary form in ancient Thai craftsmanship. 6. Pillars of Auspice: Natural Impressions Location: M & 1st Floors, ICONSIAM Professor Thavorn Ko-udomvit presents eight golden pillars adorned with leaf-pressings from auspicious Thai trees. The work creates a profound dialogue between Dhamma (Universal Truth) and the raw beauty of the natural world. 7. Light of Siam: The Impressionist Wall Location: ICONSIAM Park, 2nd Floor Emerging artist Sitthivut Yavichai utilizes colored glass—one of the traditional "Ten Thai Crafts"—to create a 60-meter contemporary Art Wall. The piece shifts in hue and shadow, dancing in tandem with the day's natural light. 8. The Power of Thai Unity: A Collage of Spirit Location: Suralai Hall, 7th Floor A masterwork of photo-collage by Asst. Prof. Prateep Suthathongthai, this iconic installation synthesizes the multifaceted identity of the nation into a single, cohesive vision, serving as a powerful finale to the ICONSIAM art experience. Learn more: www.siampiwat.com/assets/bangkokdesignweek2026
