Siam Jazz Talk Session

When speaking of The Decorum, a leading menswear brand, it is widely recognized for its meticulous attention to qualityâfrom finely tailored suits and carefully curated merchandise to a thoughtfully designed store where every element comes together with a clear mood and tone.
One key element that plays an essential role in shaping The Decorumâs mood and toneâyet remains unseenâis sound design. Each in-store playlist goes far beyond what many might imagine as âstandard jazz.â Instead, it weaves together Hip-Hop, Lo-Fi, Breakbeat, and Soul edits, seamlessly blended with Local Jazz, Nu Jazz, Funky Jazz, and Jazz Hop.
As part of BKKDW 2026, Siam Jazz invites Mr. Kai Siraphon Rittiprasat, Creative Director of The Decorum, to join this talk session and share insights into how to design every surrounding element with a strong personal identityâwhile remaining relevant to contemporary trends and popular culture.
Joining him is Mr. Nat Sakhonbutr from Siam Jazz, the curator behind The Decorumâs playlistsâeach running up to eight hours and refreshed every two months for over a year.
The session will be moderated by Ms. Pan Hataichanok Attaburanon from Siam Jazz.

If youâve ever dined at Zao Isan, you may recall the restaurantâs distinctive musical journeyâwhere Mor Lam suddenly transitions into Nu Jazz, then flows back and forth between World Music, Jazz, and African sounds with surprising harmony. During one period, the restaurant even featured vinyl-only DJ sessions, playing music far from typical DJ selectionsâfrom Thai 80s hits and smooth Neo-Soul to fluid Nu Discoâperfectly complementing Isan cuisine and wine.
What goes on in the mind of Mr. Hanif Pityasarn, Owner and Chef of Zao Isan, who takes elements many perceive as mismatched and blends them into an entirely new sonic recipe unlike anything before?
This conversation brings together Mr. Nat Sakhonbutr from Siam Jazz, Hanifâs trusted Music Director, and is moderated by Ms. Pan Hataichanok Attaburanon from Siam Jazzâalso one of the DJs who previously performed at Zao Isan.
