Ever evolving, Everlasting

“All things in this world are impermanent”—we all know this as a fact. Yet, never has it felt more palpable than it does today.

Unexpected events catch us off guard. Old formulas no longer work. Businesses built over decades can collapse within months. Faced with constant uncertainty, we often slip into survival mode—chasing one trend after another, solving one urgent problem at a time just to get by, only to end up exhausted and unsure of where we are headed.

So, we invite everyone to step beyond survival and look further ahead. How might we design our lives, careers, businesses, and cities to endure the test of time? How can we remain resilient through future crises without relying on endless short-term fixes?

Marking its 10th anniversary, Bangkok Design Week 2027 (BKKDW2027) not only celebrates a decade-long journey but also marks a turning point—setting the course for the next decade of design. Under the theme “DESIGN TO LAST: Ever Evolving, Everlasting,” the festival explores the idea that what lasts is not what clings to past success, nor what adapts merely for short-term survival. Rather, it is what is designed to remain flexible—ready to branch out, build upon what exists, and evolve with changing contexts, while never losing sight of its core values.

Come evolve together. Discover the thinking behind timeless design, enduring businesses, and ideas that continue to grow because they are designed to change. Open yourself to new perspectives on meaningful design that reaches far beyond the present, while exploring fluid, cross-disciplinary ways of thinking and creating. Only then can design reveal its greatest strength: transforming limitations into possibilities, carrying us further, and making us stronger with every transformation.

BKKDW2027 returns for its 10th edition from 18–28 February 2027, across creative districts throughout Bangkok. Welcoming future-ready ideas that embrace change rather than resist it, the festival creates opportunities for creators, businesses, and communities across generations and industries to connect, collaborate, and step confidently onto the global stage—driving Thai creativity to go further and last longer.

To live long, things must ever evolve; so must design, to ever last.
