CPAC Green Solution

CPAC Green Solution x Desire Synthesis

Catenary Arch Currently, concrete construction typically utilizes cast-in-place or precast concrete structures, generating significant formwork waste. The advent of 3D printing technology in concrete construction eliminates or reduces the need for formwork. We aim to integrate three architectural aspects - material constraints of 3D printed concrete, structural logic of full compression systems, and functionality - to democratize this construction technology and empower its usage by the public. Primitively, The first aspect explores the compressive and mechanical behavior of 3D printed concrete by considering material properties and machine limitations. Consequently, the second aspect, determines how the structure can withstand gravity, internal forces, and machine constraints by employing 3D printing technology to its fullest potential by leveraging internal force analysis for enhanced structural performance, The geometry is the man, machine co-creation of polygon modeling and dynamic relaxation form-finding technique to create structure that rely solely on compression. And the final aspect we question how to address the communicative role of architecture in society. We propose structural forms that serve as benches and pocket green spaces, enhancing the surrounding environment.
