Lanna Culture and Craft Association (LCCA) and Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna organized Koyori Project 2023 in The Development of Network and Value from Local Craft’s Chain Network to Enhance the Quality of Life of Elders and the Harmonic Living of Cross Generations, The Development of Business Cognitive Competency for Local Craft Enterpreneurs in the North of Thailand. The Koyori Project 2023 includes Thai and foreign consultants Japanese translators, university students from Thailand and Japan, 28 OTOP artisans from 8 Northern provinces (Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Lampang, Mae Hong Son, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Phrae and Nan), 1 artisan from vulnerable groups and 1 artisan from Laos. In total the project hosted 30 teams of young designer-artisan collaborations. After the product development phase which spanned 4 months, the project selected top ten products to be displayed in Chiang Mai Design Week 2023 and Bangkok Design Week 2024. The success of this project resulted from support from the National Research Council of Thailand, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, and the Creative Economy Agency. Yip In Tsoi & Co. Limited assisted in promoting the project through the Koyori television series aired on Thai PBS. Thank you to all parties who contributed in making this project a success.
