Helicopter Secondhand

"Helicopter Secondhand" Show Trio from Chiang Mai , Thailand, composed of three close friends who have been playing music together for several years. The band members are Pod (lead vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist), Bas (drums, Djembe, percussion ), and Jack (bass and didgeridoo). The band performs music at various venues and bars in Chiang Mai, including events and busking performances, where they primarily showcase their original compositions. The band's music is an intriguing fusion that combines contemporary Western pop and rock elements with the diverse musical influences of different cultures and ethnicities, including Aboriginal, African, South American, and Thai Lanna. Their repertoire includes instrumental pieces that are both pleasant to listen to and dance-inducing, as well as songs with abstract lyrics that are easy to sing along to, encouraging everyone to have fun with their music. "Helicopter Secondhand" is known for bringing their own musical equipment to almost every gig, allowing them to set up and perform in public spaces or as street performers, often as buskers. In 2023, the band achieved a significant milestone by representing Thailand in the "Busking World Cup in Gwangju 2023," which is the world's second busking music competition held in Gwangju, South Korea. Before their journey, the band played music in various venues and establishments across Chiang Mai, busking to raise funds for their stay in Korea. The band has already released some of their original works through various channels and is planning to record more music to produce an album in the near future.
