Knitting represents softness, warmth and the most important is feeling loved. Because of the process of knitting is done all by the hand with attention to every details and is required one’s precious time. We want everyone who come to “knit room” to feel the softness, warmth and love from our installation and bring the happiness back home. “Knit room” is a small room surrounded 3 sides of extremely chunky knit. The floor is also extremely chunky knit on air mattress so it will be very soft. The centre piece of the room will be unfinished knitting scarf(Big Scale), inviting everyone to knit together. The installation will raise awareness of circular economy. We will use the leftover fabric from T-shirt factory to make the big yarn, so we can name it zero waste yarn. After the installation, the zero waste yarn can also be reused again. The knitting pieces can be torn off and round it up like a new ball of yarn. We can give it to our visitors who want to create a new thing.
