IDareID
IDareID is an exhibition of creative work in progress.
Creative design has often been viewed as simply the creation of âbeautiful objects,â offering comfort in times of crisis and seen as a luxury when the world faces challenges. However, the Industrial Design Program at the Department of Industrial Design, Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University, aims to show that design is much more than that. Design can be a positive force, helping people adapt, solve problems, and navigate the uncertainties of an ever-changing world. Itâs not just about creating aesthetically pleasing things but about inspiring change, shifting perspectives, and offering hope in times of uncertainty.
This idea forms the foundation of the Industrial Design Program, developed to address the challenges of todayâs world. The program encourages both undergraduate and graduate students to approach design from a positive perspective, using design as a core tool for integrating knowledge from various disciplines. This approach enables them to contribute meaningfully to economic and social development, keeping pace with rapid change and the complexities of modern life.
We hope that visitors will be inspired by the creative work in progress, which not only showcases creativity but is also infused with positive energy capable of transforming perspectives on design. Our goal is to ignite inspiration within the creative community and the public, allowing them to reconnect with the power of design. We believe these designs will demonstrate that, even in a world full of challenges, we can still find hope and solve problems through the power of design.
