Local Made Good is a multi-disciplinary craft brand aiming to unite artisans across various fields to design and push the boundaries of Thai craft in unprecedented ways. We gather crafting techniques like weaving, printing, ceramics, hand embroidery, leatherwork, metalwork, biomaterials, and more. Our bran’'s purpose is “Reconnecting the world through craftsmanship,” as we believe handmade goods can connect people globally through the processes and experiences each artisan embodies.
Founded in 2023, we officially launched our first collection, the SS24 ASPARAGUS PROJECT, in January 2024. Over the past year, we have collaborated with local artisans from northern Thailand, emphasizing crafts that incorporate materials sourced from all over the country with well-thought-out functionality. We meticulously oversee every step, from sourcing organic cotton woven by hand and naturally dyed in small villages, to hand-tailoring in Bangkok. We also conduct extensive research on plant-based buttons and hand embroidery using naturally dyed hemp thread in every product. Additionally, we strive to collaborate with artists from other fields and engage in mixed-media installations to make craftsmanship contemporary and more accessible for today and the future.
