Spiral Forward: Textiles for Life Exhibition

The Thailand Institute of Fashion Research, under Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep, aims to elevate Thailand’s textile, fashion, and lifestyle industries to international standards through research and development. A key responsibility is presenting Thailand's color research at the international INTERCOLOR conference, where leading design countries exchange knowledge and analyze consumer behavior to shape future trends in color, materials, and design. The institute disseminates global design trends to partner organizations and Thai entrepreneurs through seminars, workshops, and consultations, helping them adapt to their target markets. Operating two seasons per year, the institute plans to organize the “Textiles for Life” exhibition alongside Bangkok Design Week 2025, hosted by the Creative Economy Agency, under the theme “SPIRAL FORWARD ACT: ENGAGE | EDUCATE | EMBRACE | TRUST!” The event will feature three key activities: 1. TEXTILES FOR LIFE Exhibition – Showcasing textile designs by private sector designers, faculty members, and students from the Faculty of Textile Industries. 2. Textile Workshops – Focusing on textile craftsmanship and the reuse of materials, such as weaving fabric from scrap materials, creating simple knitted garments, reprinting old shirts, and natural tie-dye techniques. 3. inFASH Lifestyle Trend 2025-2026 Seminar – Summarizing consumer lifestyle trends, colors, and materials. The event’s objectives are: 1. To create a space for participation among the communities of Sathorn/Nang Linchi/Narathiwat, in collaboration with educational institutions, textile and fashion design students and faculty, textile technology programs, and textile business entrepreneurs. 2. To provide knowledge through creative textile workshops for those interested. 3. To exhibit works in the Textile Industries building and use art to embrace the diversity of people in the area, regardless of ethnicity, gender, or age, in conjunction with local biodiversity. 4. To share research findings on consumer trends, lifestyles, and colors for future design with designers, entrepreneurs, students, and the public, presented by the Thailand Institute of Fashion Research.
