BKKDW BIKE BUS

Hop on a bike and join the BKKDW Bike Bus! We'll take you around Bangkok Design Week safely, quickly, and cheaply! The Bangkok Urban Cycling Alliance (BUCA) invites festival-goers to join us on the BKKDW Bike Bus. You can grab one of the bike-sharing options on-site or bring your own bike and travel with us. By joining our bike bus, your journey will be safer, faster, and cheaper! BUCA offers two kinds of trips: 1. Transit - Bike with us on our transit trip to connect you with festival venues and stations. You are expected to ride for 5 - 20 minutes, during which we pick up and drop off BIKE BUS passengers at each venue and station stop. The BKKDW Bike Bus transit will travel every 15 - 30 minutes. Your trip will be accompanied by experienced volunteers who will guide and ensure your safety. 2. Tour - The Tour is a bike bus trip looping around the exhibition. The trip length is between 45 - 120 minutes. The Tour bike bus will take you to each iconic exhibition and venue through a scenic route of Bangkok city. The Bike Bus tour happens once a day every weekend of the Bangkok Design Week. Please follow up on this site for more information closer to the date and on our Facebook page: facebook.com/urbancyclingbkk. The Bike Bus is an inclusive activity for everyone. This organized group cycling event follows a scheduled route with multiple stops. Participants are free to join or leave the group at any point. This activity provides a safe and easy environment for cycling in the city, with the Bike Bus moving as a visible unit that other road users can quickly notice. The Bike Bus is a significant first step toward encouraging urban cycling while helping people navigate the city’s chaotic traffic safely and confidently. The Bike Bus is a global movement often seen in cities across Europe, the US, and Latin America. It has featured over 400 events, and over 32,000 cyclists commute by Bike Bus worldwide. For experienced urban cyclists, BUCA is looking for volunteers to accompany new users on trips. You can join us as a volunteer and mentor to help festival-goers commute safely in normal traffic and increase the number of Bike Bus volunteers on future occasions.
