ANOTHER SIDE OF SOMEONE’S LIFE by SMEG x BALL NARAPHAT incorporates Smeg's uniquely designed kitchen appliances into the traditional setting of a house, combined with flower installations by Ball Naraphat. It questions the value and purpose of “design” through two mediums: “household appliances” and “flower arrangements.” These two elements, which transform natural materials into something new through a thoughtful design process, are set against the backdrop of local shophouse living. This installation aims to explore the intersection between art, design, and everyday life, while examining the role of design in shaping experiences within spaces that may initially seem incompatible. Ultimately, it seeks to raise the question: “Can design truly transform the surrounding atmosphere or create a new perception of its environment?
