An installation art exhibition by Wit Pimkanchanapong extends the labyrinthine techniques explored in his previous work, "Planetary Seed," to narrate the historical significance of Asvin Pictures in Thai cinema and soundtracks during the 1950s. Asvin Pictures played a pivotal role in revolutionizing the Thai film industry by introducing the transition from 16mm film to the 35mm CinemaScope standard. The company produced numerous iconic films and soundtracks, launching the careers of renowned actors and singers. Notable works include Ruean Pae (Houseboat), Phan Thai Norasing, Lakhon Re, and Ngao Pha.
Through the discovery of documents, photographs, equipment, and other evidence, as well as interviews with those involved with Asvin Pictures, which ceased operations over 30 years ago, multiple unseen aspects of history have come to light. This important historical information should be presented to the new generation and to a wider audience.
