Remember
Drawing inspiration from the “Memory of Water” theory—an idea from homeopathy and alternative medicine that suggests water can retain traces of dissolved substances—this concept connects the past to the present. Over time, water has absorbed physical and chemical imprints of human activity, silently bearing witness to relationships, events, and stories that unfolded around it.
The Phadung Krung Kasem canal, once a vital companion to the communities of Chong Sawat, Police Sapha, and Choduk, thrived as a hub of vibrant life. It was a space where people played, jumped, and traveled—building shared memories with the water as their ever-present partner. However, as the city and world evolved, this cherished connection began to fade, becoming distant and almost forgotten.
The art installation “Remember” aims to bring the canal back to life, symbolizing its role as both a keeper of joyful human connections and a vessel yearning for renewal. The water "remembers" the laughter and vitality of its past and now invites us to rekindle this bond through playful care. It seeks to remind us that the connection between humans and nature—especially with water—has never truly been lost; it simply awaits our return to create meaningful memories once more.
