Since 1986, PTT has been organizing the PTT Art Contest, which aims to encourage youths and art enthusiasts to submit their works including paintings, sculptures, prints and other visual arts. PTT supports Thai youths and artists to unleash their creativity to enhance Thai contemporary art. In order to leverage Thai artists, 'Locating the Locals: A Virtual Exhibition by PTT' will showcase the award winners from the PTT Art Contests, which audiences can easily enjoy thanks to digital technology. On top of a better experience, audiences can see what’s happening in the virtual world. This exhibition will be a journey to locate and define what 'local' is, in terms of the art and the artists themselves, as it is an important topic in the Thai contemporary art movement. Not only that, the audience can be a part of this important journey of the PTT Art Contest. This exhibition will prepare us all for the future of Thai Fine Art.
