tISI is a combination of our local artisanal heritage, design, and environmental awareness. Our design philosophy is rooted in the idea that there’s no need to put effort into preserving our local heritage if there’s demand for it in modern society. We discovered the beauty of local northern fabrics enriched by culture and craftsmanship. By combining it with contemporary designs, we can create products that are wearable and practical for daily life, preserving our local way of life in a self-sustaining manner.
The final component is environmental awareness. We all know that the fashion industry is one of the biggest polluters. Fast fashion, in particular, has a serious impact on people and the environment through its reliance on chemical fabric dyes, overproduction, and unethical labor. Instead, we want to change this model by offering a better quality product, using natural dyes, teaming up with local Pakayor villagers for rural income distribution, and efficiently managing inventories to minimize overstock waste. We will keep improving until we become 100% green.
From these components comes tISI. We believe that the long-term preservation of our local way of life and environment means making our products useful and practical for daily life, because Practical is Sustainable.
