‘Kratip Original' is a bag handcrafted by Thai artisans with Thai traditional wisdom. Made of Thai silk, the bag is handwoven by members of The SUPPORT Foundation. The design was developed with a folding technique used to transform two-dimensional fabrics into a three-dimensional cylindrical structure. This shape recalls the kratip, a kind of local basketry found in northeastern Thailand traditionally used for food preservation. Now, the ‘Kratip Handbag’ has been adapted to contain personal belongings.
